At an event for the winners of the 2022 Soul-Making Keats Literary Contest winners, I shared an excerpt from my essay, “Shopping Companions”, which placed first the contest’s Intercultural Essay category.

Panel Event at UC Berkeley
At colloquium on Canadian expat identity at UC Berkeley, I moderated a panel on expat Canadian identity with four Canadian-born academics working outside of Canada: Christopher Kirkey, Rejean Nimijean, Irene Bloemraad and Julie Burelle. We shared reflections on our Canadian expat experiences, including insights from the panelists’ essays in the 2022 book, “Constructing Canadian Identity from Abroad”.
